Walrus Oyster and Ale House seeks a Busser for our 6,500 sq. foot, high volume, 250 seat restaurant, bar, and patio in the center of National Harbor, MD with views of the Potomac River! In operation since September 2014, we break the corporate mold in our selection of staff.

Position Requirements

Busser will report to the Restaurant Manager. He /She will also work directly with the General Manager, Assistant General Manager and Principals of Star Restaurant Group. The key responsibilities will be to:

  • Complete all side work including, but not limited to, rolling silverware, polishing glasses and marrying condiment bottles.
  • Ensure all tables are dressed appealingly with proper place settings, full condiment bottles and appropriate table menus.
  • Keep the server stations well stocked, with roll ups, glassware, condiments, etc. continually to help ensure a seamless shift.
  • Comfortably carry heavy trays of dishes for pre bussing and bussing tables to help keep a high turnover rate.
  • Reset tables properly and rapidly to ensure timely availability for guests.
  • Work with fellow bussers as well as servers, back servers, bartenders and managers to ensure a positive and memorable environment for our guests.
