SUMMARY

Performs duties as a Project Manager, with an emphasis on providing CBRN technical assistance and support to the FEMA Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear (CBRN) Office in researching, developing, managing, advising and sustaining the Agency's CBRN risk-based strategies, plans, policies, best practices, and guidelines as well as building unique CBRN capabilities necessary to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, or mitigate against the risks of CBRN incidents posing the greatest risks to the Nation.

DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Providing Emergency Management and CBRN Technical expertise
  • Providing project management and technical support
  • Providing supervision of subordinate employees
  • Developing and quality control of contract deliverables
  • Conducting research and analysis
  • Supporting the development of strategic plans
  • Providing communication and outreach support
  • Researching and reviewing of appropriate and applicable literature and documents
  • Identifying needs, developing, validating, and delivery of training
  • Developing and conducting a series of increasingly complex exercises
  • Staffing internal and external documents
  • Preparing briefings and related presentations
  • Attending and participating in meetings, conferences and working sessions

 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Emergency Management or like discipline)
  • A bachelor’s degree may be used to substitute for 4 years of emergency management experience, but not supervisory experience. A master’s degree may be substituted for an additional 2 years of emergency management experience, but not supervisory experience
  • Ten (10) years’ experience in emergency management with five (5) of those years in a supervisory position, managing a minimum of five (5) staff and increasing levels of responsibility
  • Current Defense Security Service issued TOP SECRET clearance
  • Job Location – FEMA HQ, 500 C Street SW, Washington, DC
