Our Team: The Supply Planner I is responsible for optimizing the balance of inventory across the supply chain network in line with target customer service levels, levels of forecast accuracy and safety stock levels, for the allocated portfolio for which she/he is accountable. The Supply Planner I acts as the lead interface to manufacturing sites to resolve supply issues relating to the production technology for which she/he is responsible. What you will be doing: - Coordinate with production and packaging planning to identify supply gaps and determine course of action to bridge those gaps. Communicate gaps and action plans, as well as significant forecast changes.
- Review out of stock situations or shortage of supply issues and recommend mitigating actions.
- Collaborate in weekly production and packaging meeting to help prioritize the different plant work centers.
- Regularly generate and prepare inventory and other reports.
- Establish and maintain appropriate target stock levels, safety stock, and surge stock levels using SAP and statistical inventory management tools and techniques, including safety stock level that are approved by management.
- Implement and maintain inventory and Material Management strategies for all finished goods by regular review and optimization of inventory parameters and levels (e.g. reorder point, safety stock, ABC analysis).
- Conduct regular business and performance reviews with the demand planners.
- Identify and manage potential inventory obsolescence to minimize write-offs. (finished goods and raw materials)
- Accountable for master data and material planning.
- Maintain thorough understanding of the life cycle of the different finished goods.
- Provide input in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new productions, and product phase-out.
- Responsible for working with Sales, and the different department within Operations to effectively manage and optimize inventory levels and fill rates so that service level targets are met.
- Perform reporting and analysis as required to support business needs.
- Support improvement initiative projects related to the role.
