Responsible for administration of a wide variety of personnel activities such as employment, payroll administration and all related activities, compensation, benefits, employee relations and training. Under senior and plant management direction, works to develop, interpret and implement policies, plans, procedures. Also able to work independently in support of established policies, plans and procedures. Recruitment - screening, interviewing, hiring and placement of applicants to meet the Company's specific needs including employee retention. Employee Relations - new employee orientation, policy/procedures review, performance reviews, employee relations counseling and terminations (voluntary/involuntary). Benefits administration - health (medical/dental), insurance (Life, AD&D, Supplemental), COBRA, 401(k)/Employee Profit Sharing, Employee Credit Union, etc.; claims resolution, reconciles monthly life insurance statements and coordinates open enrollment. Payroll - manage and maintain PayForce, Kronos and ABRA databases (Wage garnishments/tax levies/support orders, employee work hours, etc.), processing and distributing; annual wage/salary survey; labor distribution. Safety - assist in auditing safety policies to ensure government and/or company compliance. Facilitates workers' compensation filings, compliance and reviews; provides loss reports to Safety Administrator. Labor Reporting - Administers affirmative action program; maintains plant EEO-1, and other reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations to maintain compliance with State and Federal regulations. Compensation - coordinates annual performance reviews; assist rewrites of job descriptions as necessary; monitors performance evaluation program and assists management as necessary. Record keeping/Employee File Maintenance - including personnel, health/medical, 401(k), insurance, Leave time, Driver Qualifications, Safety, Incident/Accident, OSHA, Workers' Compensation; Health & Wellness: database management, employee physicals, EAP, etc. Training - including design, implementation, and monitoring of programs for technical, administrative, and supervisory staff; develop A/P Clerk as first line contact for payroll and backup for Labor Distribution. Miscellaneous projects and analysis as required by management.

Position Requirements Associates degree in an applicable discipline or equivalent experience. Five years relevant experience in Human Resources with basic management or supervisory skills. Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and local labor laws and regulations. Strong oral and written communication skills. Working knowledge of various computer software. Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
