Description

Department: Commercial Banking - Danbury

Reports To: Commercial Loan Portfolio Supervisor/Commercial Banking

SUMMARY: The position of Commercial Banking Administrator is responsible for administering the Bank's commercial loan portfolio by partnering with Lenders, Credit Administration and Loan Servicing to process, document, book, fund and service all commercial loans. Candidate must be self-directed and have the ability to prioritize and multi-task, with strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Perform pre-origination due diligence, including credit reports, environmental screenings, municipal online property searches and other reports as required by collateral type.
  • Provide customer support for advance/payment requests, wire transfers, depository relations and inquiries relating to all commercial banking issues.
  • Board new loans accurately and timely for quality assurance.
  • Monitors daily transaction reports for accuracy and manages portfolio reports such as delinquency, maturities and pipeline.
  • Set up and maintain paper and electronic loan files, including scanning and indexing of all required loan closing documentation.
  • Manage post-closing file. Ensure Bank's collateral position is accurately perfected through UCC or mortgage filing. Satisfy any outstanding post-close requirements. Monitor collection of on-going financial reporting requirements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Administrative duties include payoff letters, memorandums to credit file and customer correspondence.
  • Review daily overdrafts for decisions and coordinate any necessary collection resolution.
  • Comply with all bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those relating to CRA, HMDA, and Regulation B.
??SECONDARY DUTIES:
  • Cross train to perform duties relating to internal/external audits and regulatory examinations.
  • Performs any other administrative/clerical duties or special projects for the department that may become necessary.
 
Position Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Two years of college or equivalent work experience.
  • Lending, Banking, Accounting or Finance background or specialized knowledge of loan documentation helpful.
