Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Experience with cleaning procedures and materials.

  2. Functionally literate: able to read and follow written chemical, safety and warning labels.

  3. Physically fit - able to bend, lift, stand and/or walk for long periods of time; able to perform repetitive motions with arms, wrists, hands and fingers; working in an enclosed, extremely warm environment; able to lift and maneuver up to 50lbs.

  4. Effective communication skills - verbally able to provide instruction and respond to questions.

  5. Flexible schedule: able to work various shifts, weekends and holidays.

  6. Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.

  7. Must pass a criminal background check.

  8. Must be at least 18 years of age.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED.

  2. Knowledge and experience with operating laundry equipment - washers, dryers, and iron.

  3. Customer service experience.

 
Description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for operating laundry room, ensuring a ready supply of towels and linens.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient and friendly service.

  2. Accepts soiled linens from room attendants/utility staff for cleaning.

  3. Load washers with soiled linen and cleaning solution as directed.

  4. Once wash is complete, transfers washed linen to dryers.

  5. Promptly fold dry linen, stacking neatly for room distribution.

  6. For extra soiled, torn or damaged supplies, report and record loss to supervisor to discard as directed.

  7. Maintain accurate records of daily count of: loads of wash and dried linen; damaged linen; soap; and chemicals used.

  8. Complete monthly inventory reports as directed.

  9. Maintains cleaning equipment, wiping down machinery daily and reporting malfunctions to supervisor.

  10. Ensure that the operation of equipment, tools and materials are handled in a safe manner.

  11. Promotes a clean, safe and healthy work environment for employees and guest. Promptly reports all concerns to supervisor.

  12. Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.

  13. Promote internal guest service through courteous and respectful behavior.

  14. Other related functions as directed.

 
Salary $10.50-$14.00 Hourly
