Tabula Rasa Healthcare– TRHC is a family of companies that leverages technology to improve healthcare. TRHC works with providers and insurers to identify multi-drug interactions and to reduce risk of medication-related problems. We have developed the first multi-drug interaction tool that identifies risk across a variety of safety factors and presents meaningful opportunities to mitigate that risk. This technology can be used to assess safety at the individual patient-level or to stratify medication risk at the population-level, and can be embedded within any EMR or other healthcare IT system.

A Tabula Rasa Healthcare Co., CareKinesis, is looking for a talented and experienced

Product Owner to set, prioritize, and evaluate the work generated by the Scrum Team for our cloud-based Medication Risk Mitigation Platform, MedWise Advisor.

MedWise Advisor provides the medication decision support components to support clients seeking to manage their medication risk and improve medication outcomes and patient relationships by enhancing their existing systems. MedWise Advisor can be integrated with a variety of e-prescribing modules, EHRs, pharmacy management systems, clinical systems, case management platforms and other clinical databases.

The successful candidate will represent the “voice of the customer” by maintaining and prioritizing the backlog to ensure that the team is working on stories that maximize business value and deliver necessary fixes and functionality to customers.

Location: Mount Pleasant, SC

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and assist in taking requirements and formulating them into user stories.
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product.
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and initiatives to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
  • Lead the planning of product release plans and set expectation for delivery and communication of new functionalities.
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release.
  • Participate in the development of story acceptance criteria including drafting them when feasible.
  • Collaborating with the Scrum team to derive estimations on the initiative, epic, and story levels.
  • Work closely with product management team in evaluating current systems and making decisions on future development.
  • Research and analyze the users and the roadmap for the product.
  • Be a subject matter expert on the product and domain.
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends.
  • Cross-communicate between the product team and product management and the business.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or related practical experience.
  • M.S. in Computer Science or similar technical field of study(preferred)

Experience:

  • 2+ years previous experience as a product owner, business analyst, or in a related field.
  • 5+ years in technology related roles (preferably in software/product development).
  • Experience in Healthcare Technology (preferred).
  • Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with business analysts, UI/UX team, leadership, senior management, and internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidates must be innovative, creative, flexible and be passionate about building quality software.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Highly skilled in written and verbal communication.
  • Has exceptional initiative and follow-through on projects with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Passionate about knowledge sharing and has the skills to help develop and advance the team through mentorship.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with clients, end-users, and team members.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
