Kadiak, LLC. is looking for a Part time Operational Assistant to join our team in Kodiak, AK. This is a part-time (10-15 hours per week) administrative and mentorship type position with opportunity for more work as needs arise.

The position is a cross functional role supporting Kadiak, LLC, the Koniag Government Services Business Development Department, and the Kodiak Brown Bear Center. The position will report to Kadiak’s Operations Manager.

Kadiak, LLC

  • Complete Kadiak team expense reports
  • Travel booking and other logistics to support Kadiak’s contracts.
  • Perform market research and develop analysis on trends and opportunities
  • Support compliance efforts for the Small Business Administration’s HUBZone and 8(a) programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Koniag Government Services (KGS) Business Development

  • Maintain a repository on Sharepoint of potential partners (and competitors) corporate capabilities and develop index to assist with the selection of partners.
  • Responsible for aggregating corporate materials needed for Customer and Partner presentations, RFIs, Proposal responses.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating trade-shows, conferences and events, including the development of publicity material.

Kodiak Brown Bear Center

  • Organization and maintenance of all company documents, correspondence, licenses, permits, employee certifications, customer files and other associated documents for the KBBC.
  • Invoice issuance and tracking of KBBC sales.
  • Preparation, issuance and filing of KBBC client confirmation letter & documents.
  • Assist KBBC clients if needed for lodging reservations in the event of weather delays or trip cancellations.
  • Admin support for KBBC employees with scheduling, transportation and other operational support.
Position Requirements

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college student or recent graduate preferred
  • Self- Starter
  • Good organization skills
  • Interest in Alaska Native Corporation business preferred
  • Customer service oriented
  • Experience in an office environment
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Working Environment & Conditions

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
