Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant position is based on-site at our Taliesin property in Spring Green, Wisconsin and provides administrative and clerical support for the Taliesin property in Wisconsin. The position serves as a liaison to coordinate communication across departments between Taliesin and Taliesin West. This includes assisting with recruiting and new hire onboarding, coordinating requests for office supplies, equipment and furniture procurement; file maintenance and other general office duties.

Position Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Assists with general accounting duties such as coding of invoices, calculating expenditures and forwarding receipts
  • Assists in scheduling in-person and phone interviews for open seasonal and regular status positions.
  • Assists with new employee paperwork and new employee on-boarding.
  • Coordination of contract execution and certificate of insurance documents with the Foundation Operations Manager.
  • Implementing on site procedures for collecting of guest room fees and meal revenues.
  • General office and operational support for the Foundation staff at Taliesin.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED plus at least 1 year administrative experience required. Associates degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Proficient in operating MS Office suite including Word, Excel and Outlook, and proven ability to learn new applications.
  • Demonstrated responsive and responsible behavior as obtained in fast-paced settings.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment within the context of frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and active listening ability.
  • Self-starter that can be efficient and effective with remote supervision.
