JOB SUMMARY:

The Engineer Technician III will be responsible for providing Facility Assessment Engineering Services support. They will perform engineering evaluations and technical project support required to assist the 99th Division Readiness Department of Public Works in sustainment, restoration and moderation of facilities varying in age from newly commissioned to over 90 years old. The Engineer Technician shall assist in the following areas: Installation Status Reporting, maintenance and repair project design, data entry into Army databases of record, documenting facility condition and utilization, and providing technical evaluations of current facilities.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Data Entry/Knowledge Management Updates to Army Databases of Record and programmatic support. Collect, review, and enter into databases Army mandated facility and units database information. Review existing data for technical and functional adequacy.

  • Headquarters project support services. Provide GFEBS and contract preparation duties to support municipal service contracts and performing duties commensurate with US DOL Engineering Technician III: Must become GFEBS qualified within 4 months of assignment. Must have complete familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite of products, specifically: Word, Excel, One Note, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access. (Intermediate level). Capable of analyzing trends and recommending solutions.

 
Position Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Engineer Technician III must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from accredited university in an engineering, science OR environmentally related technical field OR a four year technical trade degree in engineering OR equivalent professional training, military training and 2-5 years of directed applicable work experience.
  • Engineer Technician III must be proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 and SharePoint 2010 products and have the ability to use web-enabled programs and use the internet for informational research. The Engineer Technician III shall be able to draft clear and comprehensible memos about facilities maintenance and repair related issues, as well as about recommendations for maintenance and repair changes, upgrades and improvements, use email, as well as develop and use spreadsheets.
