Description Duties & Responsibilities other duties may be assigned: Prepares the weekly and daily work schedules and directs the activities of O/P's working in the Produce Department. Is responsible for the staffing, training and overall development of O/P's working in the Produce Department, on a daily basis Trains O/P's on weighting, slicing, cutting and merchandising of all cut produce within required Health Department requirements. Maintains a high profit margin in accordance to the approved pre-set budget, which entails, but is not limited to : sales goals, cost of ggods, expenses, price changes and waste management.. Manages and assures high quality and proper quantitiy of product via proper ordering and receiving. Orders and receives products and practices proper invoice routing. Examines product bought for resale or received for storage. Manages and assures proper displaying and selling of different produce items to customers and advises them on quality, method of handlling and storage, and other factors affecting ripening and storage. Must have knowledge or have the ability to learn certain computer applications such as, but not limited to Microsoft Excel. Ensures O/P's are practicing department and store standards to assure quality customer service. Responsible for using the tools provided by management to ensure the success of the department. Responsible for entire Bakery Department in serving customers with excellent service and adhering to the 15 Second Service policy. Ensures the active practice of '7 Points to Extraordinary Service.' Handles customer complaints in such a manner so as to assure customer satisfaction. Reports industrial accidents when they occur during a shift; follows proper procedures both of the company and the SB 198 for reporting, documenting and investigating owner/partner accidents. Maintains the produce department, including allcases and backroom storage locations under current health codes and Bristol Farms standards on sanitation and cleanliness • Prepares the weekly and daily work schedules and directs the activities of employees working in the Meat Department. • Is responsible for the staffing, training and overall development of employees working in the Meat Department, on a daily basis. Responsible for training and follow-up for Meat Apprentice Program. • Trains employees on cutting, trimming, deboning, and cleaning meats and poultry. Also trains on all opening and closing procedures for department. • Maintains the appropriate profit margin in accordance to the approved pre-set budget, which entails, but is not limited to: sales goals, cost of goods, expenses, price changes and waste management. Logs all invoices on the daily and weekly log sheets. • Assures high quality and proper quantity of products via proper ordering and receiving either through self or other employees. • Manages and assures proper displaying and selling of all meat products to customers and advises customers on quality of food, method of handling, and other factors affecting preparing, freezing, and storage. • Engages and coaches others in suggestive selling techniques. • Suggests development of new products to superiors. If approved, implements suggestions. • Responsible for monthly inventory. • Responsible for implementing and maintaining all marketing programs, including but not limited to weekly ads, price changes, merchandising, etc. • Responsible for communication with the Store Director on all meat related issues. • Maintains the Meat Department, including all cases, under current health codes and Bristol Farms standards on sanitation and cleanliness  
Position Requirements Qualifications • 2 year of managerial experience, preferred. • Strong communication skills • Posses the ability to handle high stress and volume of customers while maintaining a positive shopping experience for the customer. • Availability requirements include; but are not limited to; days, evenings, weekends, & holidays. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: • Stand for long periods of time; walk; frequent use of hands. • Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch. • Frequently lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
