JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Digital Marketing Specialist assists in executing Suja’s marketing initiatives across multiple channels to drive consumer awareness, engagement & advocacy.

This role will primarily be focused on relationship marketing, through community management, social media activations, website management and measuring/reporting the effectiveness of marketing strategies and campaigns.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Community management
    • Establish and maintain fan loyalty and generate advocacy through reactive and proactive engagement with fans and prospective consumers
    • Monitor and engage with influencer Suja-related social media activity and blog posts, tracking impact of programs
  • Social media content creation
    • Assist with content creation and calendar planning
    • Serve as the main point of contact for Brand/Influencer Partnerships and Giveaways, working with Comms, Brand and Influencer teams to successfully implement programs
    • Own Pinterest strategy and execution, recommending best-in-class optimizations and ideas
    • Act as a brand champion, ensuring the visual strategy and brand voice comes through consistently and effectively across all channels
    • Proactively identify opportunities for unique and impactful activations
  • Website
    • Oversees project management of (and helps implement) website updates
    • Own blog strategy/execution, finding new ways to create on-site engagement, measure impact, and optimize
    • SEO management, work with vendor to execute existing program, finding ways to improve and extend across other channels (ex: influencer content creation)
  • Measurement and reporting (in development)
    • Use social media tools to populate monthly reporting template, including media, social, email, website, influencer and (potentially) field/merch recaps
    • Understand results and recommend ways to optimize various channels to get the biggest impact
    • Present results to team monthly
  • Marketing ad hoc projects (as needed)
    • Various marketing projects to support the team cross-functionality
 
Position Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-2 years experience (Digital/PR/Comms/Social in CPG or lifestyle brand)
  • Bachelor's Degree (4 years preferred)

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong project management skills with emphasis on collaboration, attention to detail and working with multiple fast-paced timelines
  • Ability to maintain a pulse on trends and best practices in social media and marketing communications, proactively identifying opportunities for optimizations or new programs
  • Exceptional work ethic, passion for marketing and excellent organizational skills with proven ability to quickly and independently manage multiple projects with attention to detail and a positive and energetic attitude
  • Fearless, creative problem solver who is a proactive self-starter, highly adaptable & resourceful.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive and energetic attitude comfortable working in a fast paced and high intensity environment
  • At minimum, an understanding of the natural food and beverage space (brands, consumers and lifestyle) and a passion for an active healthy lifestyle

Lastly, this person needs to be okay with limited weather variety, as the company is located in Oceanside, CA and it's generally sunny and in the low 70's. We all deal with that in our own way.
