Prism Electric is seeking a full-time Field Layout Engineer to layout field points with a Robotic Total Stations such as Leica RTS, Sokkia RTS, Trimble RTS or similar type equipment. Job Details: The successful Field Layout Engineer will be responsible to provide the layout for location and elevation of conduit stubs, sleeves, lights, foundations, columns, walls, embedded items, slab-on-grade, supported decks and structures, and other such items. This individual will also need to complete as-builts of duct banks as well as using advanced technologies to provide surveying services related to the construction drawings. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of Robotic Total Station hardware and software and would likely have some form of AutoCAD or Revit experience. Responsibilities: Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Verify the accuracy of measurements and calculations conducted at the construction site. Coordinate control points & work and schedules with the project team, General Contractor & Subcontractors Review drawings and layouts for accuracy of measurements etc... Effectively communicate with BIM Team, Project Superintendent's, Project Managers and Field personnel. Work closely with Operations Management on the request of resources required to meet project schedule. Promote total quality and customer satisfaction by acting as a liaison between customer and field management to ensure that project work is completed per customer expectations.
