Recruiter/HR Generalist 



  • Work with managers for new and open positions and follow-up to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
  • Develop a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need based on test scores or other qualifiers.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Post openings on job search engines, newspaper, professional organizations, social media, and in other position appropriate venues. Attend job fairs, trade shows, and other industry related events.
  • Network through industry contacts, associations, trade groups, and employees. Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads.
  • Coordinate and implement college intern recruiting initiatives.
  • Administrative duties and recordkeeping: prescreen, interview, review and maintain data bases, prepare packets for other ORION divisions, and other projects as assigned.
  • Give quarterly reports to Executives about cost and retention
  • Onboarding Process
  • Other tasks as needed

Position Requirements


  • Education and Training – An Associate’s Degree from a two year college or university; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience or as deemed sufficient by management.
  • Skills – Ability to read and interpret written instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Technical Requirements - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Great Plains Dynamics or equivalent software.
  • Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Working Conditions – This job is usually in an office setting and the noise level is quiet. Some traveling is required for job faires.
