POSITION SUMMARY

This position is located in the national capital area. The selected candidate will recognize the threats posed to DIA from FIE and insider threat, and understand and apply CI activity to neutralize, degrade, or exploit the threat.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and present Counterintelligence Awareness (CIAR) training lAW DIA CIAR standards
  • Develop and tailor CIAR training to the supported DIA component
  • Develop and present tailored threat assessments/briefings or threat data for DIA missions, personnel or locations
  • Assist Operational Security (OPSEC) program managers in the development of organizational OPSEC plans
  • Conduct appropriate CI activities supporting initial reports from Counterintelligence and Security Reporting System (CISRS)
  • Identify vulnerabilities related to a supported Directorate's personnel or missions and recommend and implement CE activity to mitigate the vulnerability
  • Provide advice, insight, and guidance concerning CI issues to DIA employees and leaders
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure integrity of reporting and information confidence for intelligence analysts and decision makers
  • Plan, research and conduct foreign program pre-briefings and debriefings
  • Conduct open source research and report findings
  • Plan, research and conduct country threat briefings for which the DIA affiliate is going to travel; execute CI support to overt collection, asset validation, and enabling activities
  • Produce IIRs as a result of information obtained from CIFS
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate must be a graduate from an accredited CI Special Agent credentialing school
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years cumulative experience conducting CI collections, CI functional services, Cl investigations, or CI operations
  • Comprehensive understanding of national and Defense guidance, community, and practices pertaining to CL Contactor must have experience in planning and conducting CED tasks

CREDENTIAL COURSES REQUIRED

  • Defense CI Agent Course (DCAC) from the Joint CI Training Activity, DIA
  • CI Special Agent Course (CISAC) from the US Army Intelligence Center and School
  • Basic Investigator’s Course from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) WITH Naval Criminal Investigator’s Service add-on
    • Air Force Office of Special Investigations add-on training
    • Marine Air Ground Task Force – Counterintelligence Basic CI from the Navy Marine Intelligence Training Center
  • The Intelligence Officer Basic Course – CI/HUMINT from the US Army Intelligence Center and School
  • The Special Investigations Course from the US Air Force Special Investigations Academy
