Job Details:
The successful BIM Manager provides overall direction of BIM activities in assigned areas including BIM implementation, integration, development, maintenance, training, design interface, design quality, and identification of potential liabilities and/or concerns. This individual will also create and manage standard operating procedures and processes and may supervise BIM Specialists. The successful candidate will authorize access to appropriate data and coordinate efforts with personnel in other departments including project managers, outside design firms, and client representatives. Interested candidates must possess knowledge of the process to validate and monitor the level of development (LOD) based on the project requirements. There will be a need to extract relevant data from the BIM and use it to satisfy the project use cases throughout the lifecycle management of the project. Programming with .NET and knowledge of object oriented and relational databases and advanced knowledge of 3D/4D/5D BIM is required.
Responsibilities:
- Provides overall direction of BIM activities in assigned areas including BIM implementation, integration, development, maintenance, training, design interface, design quality, and identification of potential liabilities and/or concerns.
- Ability to supervise BIM Specialists
- Creates and manages standard operating procedures and processes.
- Authorizes access to appropriate data and coordinates efforts with personnel in other departments including project managers, outside design firms, and client representatives.
- Knowledge of process to validate and monitor the level of development (LOD) based on the project requirements.
- Extracts relevant data from the BIM and uses it to satisfy the project use cases throughout the lifecycle management of the project.
- Knowledge of programming with .NET
- Understanding of object oriented and relational databases
- Advanced knowledge of 3D/4D/5D BIM
Requirements:
- 4-year college degree as well as 10+ years of relevant experience on large commercial projects
- Must have an in-depth working knowledge of current BIM versions
- Ability to use time productively and meet challenging work goals
- Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance
- Must possess and maintain an exceptional work ethic
- Must have PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word, excel, spreadsheets, e-mail, web-enabled applications and database software
- Must be a self-starter and possess the drive to pursue continued education on BIM
- Possess the ability to work well as part of a team and independently
- Possess interpersonal organization and communication skills
- Be energetic, efficient and results-oriented
