Description

George School, a co-ed Quaker boarding/day grades 9-12 college preparatory school located in Newtown, Bucks County, PA has an opening for a Sr. Financial Analyst/Budget Specialist.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Sr. Financial Analyst/Budget Analyst is a key strategic partner within the Business Office. The Analyst will perform complex financial analyses including revenue and expense planning, budgeting and forecasting, financial modeling and reporting, and business case analysis. The Analyst will also play a role in endowment and gift management and enterprise risk management, including analysis, modeling and reporting. He/she will be responsible for creating and maintaining a rigorous budgeting process, and will work closely with the Controller and other Business Office staff to identify and implement business process improvements, including technology analyses and upgrades.

 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience required.
  • Excellent computer skills; Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Understanding of accounting systems, concepts and processes.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and master new computer applications.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including development of complex financial models.
  • Must be curious, analytical, detail oriented, flexible and organized.
  • Must be able to multi-task efficiently and work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to exercise discretion and handle confidential information.
  • Commitment to the Quaker values of peace, equality, service, community and consensus-based decision-making.
