As the Manager of Finance you will manage financial analysis, budgeting, modeling, forecasting, reporting, grants management, cash-flow analysis, and line of service profitability. This position offers a high level of visibility and will work closely with his/her peers (e.g. business development, program delivery, product, Impact, and other corporate functions) to assess and implement business process improvements that foster efficient, scalable business practices. This role will manage a team of two to three analysts. As part of his/her responsibilities, the Manager will assess the current resourcing, responsibilities, and roles relative to the work at hand. Additionally, will assess ways in which efficiencies can be gained in order to focus the team members on the highest-value contributions.

Job Responsibilities:

This position is remote-based and located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

  • Develop budgets and forecasts, including collaborating with departmental budget owners to balance their needs with the organization's needs

  • Lead KPI metrics and dashboards reporting while translating financial performance outcomes

  • Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and predictive analytics to provide visibility into the financial impact of strategic decisions

  • Be the end-to-end finance partner to enable effective and efficient business activity

  • Manage and support nonprofit fund, government, and grant accounting in close collaboration with the finance/accounting teams and field / service delivery teams

  • Identify areas for process improvement / innovation / automation

  • Analyze vendor, department and other categories of spending

  • Partner with members of the Executive Team and key leaders to maintain an ongoing forecast process

Position Requirements

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • BS in Finance or Accounting

  • 5-7 + years relevant experience

  • 3-5 + years of management/supervisory experience

  • Professional services experience highly prefered

  • Non-profit experience desired

  • Advanced in Microsoft excel and NetSuite. Knowledge of Salesforce desirable.

  • Excellent strategic planning and financial modeling skills

  • An eye for data analysis and extracting patterns from data

  • Proactive problem solver and self-starter who takes initiative

  • Extremely organized, professional, and detail-oriented

  • Ability to manage people and multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously

  • Strong financial analysis and management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
