We are currently seeking a full-time employee to assist us with providing industry-leading CUSTOMER SERVICE to customers of our Lansing office location. The selected candidate will be answer incoming calls, process quotes, book new business and follow-up with clients to ensure our customers are completely satisfied with their travel experience with Dean Trailways! We are looking for an aggressive self-starter who has the ability and drive to:

  • Work collaboratively with co-workers in a fast-paced/team environment
  • Maintain and strengthen current customer relationships
  • Establish new customers by promoting the benefits of selecting Dean as their travel provider
  • Provide education and assistance with efficient trip planning to meet customer travel goals
  • Develop and confirm realistic trip itineraries incorporating attention to detail
  • Assure our customers are completely satisfied with their Dean experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, provide information and sell the â€'Dean Difference.”
  • Perform all phases of bus charter - sales, quotes, pricing, reservations and confirmation.
  • Counsel, educate and assist customers with planning a successful travel experience.
  • Resolve complaints and requests in a timely manner to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Provide trip follow up and contact customers as necessary to promote customer loyalty.
  • Develop and maintain long term relationships with customers, tour operators and suppliers.
  • Proactively work daily task list to complete all trip requirements from quote to final itinerary.
  • Assist with on-call, after hour customer/driver support responsibility one week per month.
  • Assist office management as needed, perform other duties responsibilities as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • At minimum, must have HS diploma or equivalent (some college is a plus).
  • Some knowledge/experience in travel or transportation-related industry a plus (not required).
  • Experience in a dynamic work environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Proven organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Data entry and basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers, fellow employees and the general public.
  • Willingness to adjust work schedule from time to time as needed during peak times.
  • Able to remain calm and be decisive working through problem situations.
  • Must have reliable transportation to work site.
