Description

Tuknik Government Services is seeking a Application Developers to work with our Federal client in the Albuquerque, NM area. Pursuant to PL 93-638, as amended, Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are a member of a Federally Recognized Native American Tribe.

This is a direct, full time position supporting TGS and our government client.

This position will be part of a team that will be supporting a Federal client in a business and IT transformation project, through the evaluation of existing IT systems, business processes, documentation to develop requirements and implementation strategy. Ensure mission data integration, optimization, availability and integrity of systems. Update and maintain applications.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Application design, construction, and deployment of enterprise products and associated modules within an object oriented centric architecture.
  • Architect and design both minor adjustments as well as major overhauls of product architecture.
  • Translate application requirements into current technology
  • Architect and design web-based applications for integration with other enterprise applications.
  • Define strategy and technical approach for meeting product performance, reliability, and scalability and security goals.
  • Establish programmatic tasks and perform validation/verification test throughout development life cycle.
  • Work closely with DBA’s, Systems Analyst and technical staff.
  • Develop/Migrate/Maintain Reporting Development. In addition to developing, but not limited to, SQL Server Reporting System (SSRS).
  • Assist with requirements gathering, business process evaluation and simplification, development of user guides and effective user interfaces.
 
Position Requirements

Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Min: 10 years coding/programming experience in software development using SDLC or Agile.
  • Min: 5 years project management experience
  • ColdFusion Experience a plus
  • 5+ yr of Microsoft .NET Framework (with C# language) hands-on experience
  • Software Design, Software Debugging, Software Development Fundamentals, Software Documentation, Software Testing, Software Maintenance, Software Algorithm Design, Software Performance Tuning, Software Architecture
  • Must be highly organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must understand architectures such as SOA, Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) Reference Model and FSAM
  • Experience communicating best practices with enterprise architecture strategy, implementation, development, and maintenance
  • GUI design/development
  • Business object design/development
  • Web service design/development
  • Must have strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work positively with the project stakeholders
  • The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
  • Proficiency with Agile Development Methodology
  • Advanced debugging skills to also be able to debug system-wide technical problems
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as working with a team.
  • Proficiency with Visual Studio
