SUMMARY

The Fuels Quality Control Manager is a temporary on-site position located at various DoD Installations throughout the US and Pacific Rim. Homebase can be from Anywhere, USA. Would like candidate to be versed in several construction competencies so he/she can be leveraged on more than just fuels projects. Travel required.

DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES

  • Implement field 3-phase QC process in accordance with Construction Quality Management for Contractors training.
  • Complete Daily QC Reports, minutes of Preparatory and Initial Phase meetings, and reports of deficiencies.
  • Understand drawings/specifications to provide QC during construction.
  • Assist in the development of QC Project Plans, including Definable Features of Work, inspection requirements, testing plan and preparing RFI’s as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with submittal requirements by maintaining submittal logs, tracking review/approval/resubmittal, and review of technical submittals as required.
  • Assist project team in resolving outstanding quality concerns. Troubleshoot and problem solve as required.
  • Report the status of project QC implementation to Quality Assurance Manager, PM and Site Superintendent.
 
Position Requirements
  • At least 5 years’ experience on DoD/Military construction contracts as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, or Project Engineer.
  • At least 3 years' experience on DoD/Military fuels related construction/quality control.
  • Must have completed the course entitled "Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors." and maintain a current certificate.

The following certifications are preferred but not required:

  • API 653 Inspector
  • API 570 Inspector
  • NACE CIP Certification (any level)
  • STI Tank Inspector
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector
  • ASNT Level II or III Certification
