Description
  • Drive vacuum, dump truck, or truck equipped with hydraulic lifting device to collect used cooking oil
  • Perform daily pre trip and post trip inspections including inspecting truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil and water
  • Drive assigned vehicle on designated route to pick up and load used cooking oil onto truck from customer location and transport to the company facility
  • May assist in unloading material or dump from truck
  • Accurately complete daily paperwork
  • Record information such as weight/volume, mileage, time and fuel consumption
  • Maintain truck log, according to state and federal regulations
  • Understand and follow all DOT, FMCSA and Baker Commodities' policies, rules and regulations
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and proper operation of vehicle and equipment
  • Perform driving/work duties for other departments as needed by the company
 
Position Requirements
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and current DOT medical card
  • Must have doubles and tanker endorsements or obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have at least 2 years of verifiable commercial vehicle driving experience and be at least 23 years of age or older
  • Must have no ‘at fault’ accidents or moving violations within the last two years
  • Be able to interact with others in a professional and ethical manner while following the principals of good safety
  • Must be able to communicate in English as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules.
  • Frequently required to sit and reach with hands/arms, talk and hear
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally move more than 100 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
