Our unwavering commitment to our Associates, their health and safety, self-directed work teams, and a commitment to continuous improvement create a rewarding and fun place to work.   Description Job Summary Scope of job requires safe and efficient operation of the dry process; this includes dry screening and blending of sand products to meet quality, production and customer needs. Associate will rotate between three different roles within the dry plant including the control room, lab tech, and housekeeping/troubleshooting. Must be capable of managing or controlling multiple product lines, which includes run out of grades to separate storage locations. Associate focus includes meeting customer needs, running the plant efficiently, and complying with quality, environmental, and safety parameters. Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Running the control room responsibilities include operating the dryers and the screen houses using the PLC. Specific duties of this role include: Operating Dry 1 and Dry 2 Drying sand as efficient as possible Strategy for sand location in surges Communicate with loader operators Operating Screen 1, Screen 2, and Screen 3 Choosing blends to efficiently meet our specifications Strategy for sand storage locations Communication with the rail and lab tech Completing production orders at the end of every shift Recording all the environmental compliance information every shift Troubleshooting equipment and sand flows Filling out the surge sheets Completing the shift changeover sheet Recording the blends The lab tech role responsibilities include testing the sand that is being dried and screened by the team member in the control room. Specific duties of this role include: Getting samples Follow the control plan Collect extra samples for trouble shooting or quality assurance Collecting pit runs and production samples Running a sieve analysis and NTU Utilizing the CPA and/or sieve sets Recording test results in the quality system Include comments when necessary Record locations Calibrating the lab equipment Collecting monthly crush samples Collecting and running sample requests Housekeeping Vacuuming the lab/control room Communication with team member running the control room on test results Troubleshooting screens and blends Help watch the system Help run foundry The housekeeping/troubleshooting role responsibilities and duties include: Workplace examinations/inspections Walk all areas and inspect for hazards Housekeeping Main person for daily clean up Operation of skid steers Troubleshooting equipment failure or process flows Check on equipment failure for the Control room person Assist with any process flow problems Collecting extra samples Perform or assist maintenance duties Patch leaks Performing weekly screen checks and screen changes Operation of skid steers Continuous improvement brainstorming Input on projects Communication with all other Dry Team members Team decision making General housekeeping Working with team on scheduling for time off Workplace examinations Identify hazards and work safely Review and update work instructions as needed Troubleshooting equipment and process flows Ability to cross-train and additional responsibilities may include: Dry Loader Operator Haul truck driver Rail lab Other areas within the mine   Physical Abilities Must pass toxicity test   Travel Not Applicable   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
