About the Job

Under the direction of the Director, Pilot Operational Support, the Pilot Operational Support Representative will answer technical questions received from the Falcon customer pilots; brief Falcon operators during customer seminars or dedicated ops briefings; assist operators with regulatory compliance (e.g. LOA or equivalent approvals); and collect ops regulatory feedback. The Representative will assist other DFJ departments (including Sales, Contracts, Spec & Design and Customer Service) with technical matters dealing with regulatory issues and flight operations.

Please note that this is not a flying position. It is primarily an office-based position, with estimated 20% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and technically accurate answers to customer pilots, coordinated with Dassault Aviation Direction du Soutien Operationel FALCON and DFJ Customer Service;
  • Hold periodic sessions at Pilot training facilities located in the US
  • Assist DFJ Sales with aviation technical matters related to both regulatory issues and flight operations;
  • Provide pilot briefings to Falcon pilots, customer seminars or dedicated ops briefings;
  • Collect ops regulatory feedback;
  • Filter and redirect field reports or questions to the adequate department/person;
  • Provide documented feedback to the company for significant events or questions.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in aviation/equivalent science degree, or equivalent aviation/operations.
  • Must have 5 years’ experience dealing with jet aircraft (preferably corporate jets and especially
    Falcons) with:
  • Good knowledge of all aircraft systems;
  • Good knowledge of operating procedures and flight documentation;
  • Knowledge of aircraft flight operations;
  • Knowledge of pilot training and the related training providers/centers;
  • Knowledge of operational regulations applicable to corporate aircraft operation.
  • Knowledge of commercial aviation, general aviation and turbojet aircraft preferred.

 
Position Requirements

NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Provide technical support to Airworthiness Authorities on request (as a support to operator applications for specific operations)
  • Attend Flight Operations related events (seminars and conferences) and provide feedback to the Company

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with aviation technical communications.
  • Aircraft pilot license.
  • Organized and autonomous.
  • Knowledge of company procedures and organization.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Mainly during day shift (8:30a.m. – 5:00p.m. M-F)
  • Flexible work days and hours to accommodate the operational needs of the Flight Department
  • Office and aircraft hangar environment
  • Use of telephone, personal computer, and various mobile communication devices
  • Travel, both domestic and international, required with occasional extended periods of travel away from home base
  • Balance and coordination of administrative duties required
