Business Systems Analyst 


JOB PURPOSE: A Business Systems Analyst as part of a team is responsible for performing high-level administrative research, analysis, and reporting duties, tasks, and assignments of advanced complexity in support of the Product Management Department and its varied operations. A Business Systems Analyst works collaboratively and in consultation with management, the software development team, and other organizational members to create and maintain a web based set of applications that facilitate and streamline the process of the organization's interactions with patients, end-users, providers and clients. In this role the incumbent performs feasibility analysis, scopes projects, and works with the project management team to prioritize deliverables and negotiates product functionalities with a focus on improving information technology operations within the organization.

  • Reviews and interprets data and information from a variety of internal and external sources focusing on assigned projects and deliverables of the Product Management and Information Technology Departments, such as:
    • Performs research, analysis, and reporting utilizing various tools and techniques from project conceptualization to implementation and evaluation;
      • Assesses and manages risks of various solutions and prioritizes competing business objectives and demands, providing recommendations on solutions or resolutions.
    • Reviews and analyzes hardware, software, and IT services within the organization; develops business case definitions; performs in-depth analysis, as well as translation and simplification of data and processes;
    • Analyzes, communicates, and validates product features, requirements, and operations supporting effective business and software processes, policy development, as well as product development and management;
    • Develops and prepares deliverables for internal and external clients, such as: presentations, dashboards, charts, graphs, and documents; facilitates presentations as required;
    • Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and support the organization's business development plans.
  • Serves in a project management role providing administrative direction for assigned projects, such as:
    • Manages ongoing relationships with internal/external business partners to drive satisfaction;
      • Proactively resolves client or end-user satisfaction issues or complaints.
    • Creates project plans related to information technology development and testing;
    • Translates identified business or client requirements into project specifications;
    • Identifies, communicates, and manages risks associated with assigned projects;
    • Manages project contracts, vendor relationships, and monitors contract/vendor performance.
  • Researches, generates and distributes advanced statistical and analytical reports, or project action plans to SinfoníaRx leadership and staff, or other internal/external clients or representatives.
Position Requirements

EDUCATION: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Administration or a related field from an approved and accredited college or university.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three (3) years’ progressive experience in a role performing business analysis and consultation of operational programs or informational systems in a business or healthcare environment. Preferred: prior experience working with pharmacy operations or with medication therapy management (MTM) services.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Preferred: Project Manager Professional certification from an accredited and approved agency.
