Description

PURPOSE:
Provide clinical supervision of the Day Treatment Program, Employment Services, Staff-Supported Housing, and Clinical Housing units and to manage the daily operations of these programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Facilitate, stimulate and encourage clinical and professional growth through group and individual supervision of CIS staff with particular attention to educational and vocational rehabilitational needs of agency consumers.
  • Administer employment services program; monitor DVR contract and billings as well as internal and external vocational contracts.
  • Establish and maintain program philosophies. Develop each program including assessing and communicating program needs and formulating on-going program goals.
  • Maintain involvement in program by participating with clinicians in program activities. Evaluate clinical and vocational rehabilitative effectiveness of program and individual clinicians. Give appropriate feedback as scheduled and needed.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors and staff on adult unit to maintain continuity of care for consumers.
  • Develop, maintain and administer all program budgets.
  • Coordinate interface between AIU, Oasis, and employment and housing programs to facilitate continuity of care.
  • Ensure a high quality of treatment for clients. Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable RCWs, WACs and other regulatory and contractual requirements. Provide regular review of clinical charts of all clients assigned and ensure documentation and paperwork requirements are met.
  • Support and comply with the KMHS affirmative action program.
  • Ensure contract compliance for all program areas.
  • Provide back up for all positions when necessary and direct client services when needed.
  • Maintain availability by way of agency cell phone for Staff-Supported Housing program, including nights and weekends.
  • Respond to any emergency situations, including staffing challenges for the SSH program, including nights and weekends..
  • Recruit, hire, and develop qualified staff including ongoing coaching and conducting performance appraisals.
  • In addition to the above, any other responsibilities appropriate to the position and not specifically listed in the job description.

OASIS DUTIES:

  • Monitor and evaluate referrals to Oasis.
  • Develop admission and exit criteria for the day treatment program.
  • Serve as liaison to NAMI and other support groups.
  • Coordinate with outside resources to educate consumers..
  • Secure community donations for community-based outings.

EMPLOYMENT SERVICES:

  • Develop and monitor Employment Services program.
  • Develop and administer in-training employee training program.
  • Provide direct vocational services including: assessments, job development, job placement, job coaching and long term follow along.
  • Coordinate treatment with DVR.
  • Monitor budget and ensure all billing is completed in accordance with the DVR contract.
  • Develop and monitor vocational contracts both in and out of KMHS.
  • Consult with clients on funding issues regarding Social Security and other benefits.
  • Consult and assist clients and employers on issues regarding the American's with Disabilities Act.
  • Ensure that Fair Labor Laws and adhered to.

SUPERVISES: Vocational Specialists, Community Integration Specialists, CIS Peer Counselor, Engagement Specialists, Housing Specialists, and Residential Crisis Counselors. Also responsible for oversight of on-campus Vocational Services positions.

 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in social sciences or related field. Must meet the definition of a Mental Health Professional. Community mental health and supervisory experience preferred. Must be energetic, highly motivated, and willing to learn and try new approaches for building skills and empowerment of disabled individuals. Must be able to work collaboratively within teams, motivate staff, be a positive role model, and have excellent communication skills. Knowledge of the community and employment market realities is highly desirable. A valid Washington State driver’s license is required.

PHYSICAL CONSIDERATIONS: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or listen. Requires the ability to lift 25 pounds.
