JOB SUMMARY: The Community Affairs Manager is responsible for the coordination and supervision of community affairs for Community Services, including community education, public relations, and special events. In addition, the Community Affairs Manager will be responsible for planning and design of all CS print materials and assisting with CFS community events in all four counties. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Administrative Duties: Participate in program development and planning Participate in quality management activities, as appropriate Compile and file appropriate monthly and annual reports Resource Development Duties: Assist with research, grant writing, and preparation of “new money” funding applications for various program components Coordinate and oversee all donor databases Oversee fundraising/special events including coordinating volunteer fundraising committee(s) Oversee and coordinate all thank you letters and acknowledgements for donations Seek new sponsorships through individual and corporate donations Coordinate inventory of in-kind donations Community Affairs Duties: Develop and implement public relations and marketing strategies Develop and maintain community relations and networking with other service providers and funders Oversee the coordination of volunteer program, which includes but is not limited to: -Seek new volunteers through community education, mailings, and advertising -Coordinate application process, volunteer database, orientation/training of volunteers and volunteer appreciation event Maintain membership in domestic violence related and social service-oriented committees, groups, and organizations, as appropriate Oversee and monitor the provision of community education about community services, and family trauma, and Service Area programs and services through speaking engagements to civic, church and other service organizations Develop, design and edit printed materials, i.e. brochures, posters and flyers as directed Serve on Catholic Charities committees as assigned |
