Duties and Responsibilities:

Product Management is a cross-functional group within organizations typically responsible for identifying, developing and deploying products and solutions for customers and partners that drive business goals. Product Management is an intersection where technology, strategy and business come together to solve the problems of today, and identify solutions for tomorrow.

The Product Management Intern will be an active participant of a current product development team focused on immersive audio content creation tools for theatrical and home audio production. This opportunity will provide hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum software development where Product Management, Design, Engineering and QA work collaboratively to create audio production tools and solutions. Throughout the course of the internship, the Product Management Intern will become involved in all aspects of product development and will gain a strong foundational understanding of Product Management best practices.

  • Work collaboratively with the Product Management team to identify and develop features for an upcoming product release
  • Gain first-hand experience and understanding of Product Management best practices
  • Gather feedback from customers, market trends and other opportunities and contribute to feature priority management and future development
  • Learn the disciplines of Agile/Scrum development processes through hands on experience as a member of an active Scrum team
  • Gain experience in both traditional surround sound technologies as well as next generation immersive, object-based audio solutions for cinema and home
  • Learn the business of Xperi/DTS by interacting with teams across the company
 
Position Requirements
  • Intrinsic passion for audio and for making the world sound better
  • General understanding of post-production workflows
  • Intermediate experience with Avid Pro Tools strongly recommended
  • Excellent Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel experience
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills
  • Receptive to input and suggestions, open-minded about options and solutions
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
