Summary: Responsible for providing assistance and support to the business / specialty loan processing group.

Individuals in this position should possess fundamental knowledge of lending principles, practices and procedures and have some understanding of business lending functions and compliance rules and regulations as they relate to business lending.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Greet customers and manage the Business Banking Center's reception desk.

  • Obtain supporting information before preparing loan documentation for loan closing, including but not limited to, UCC search, CRIS search, OFAC check, etc.

  • Ordering and obtaining required documentation from third party vendors such as appraisals, title policies, flood determination, etc.

  • Assist in imaging loan files in the Info Access software system, including follow up on additional loan documents.

  • Secure collateral by filing security interests and ensuring perfection.

  • Follow-up and monitoring of loan collateral and documentation; including perfections of liens and proper insurance coverage.

  • Prepare all loan documentation and provide processing support for new and renewed loan requests for business customers with exposure of less than $500,000 and all specialty loans.

  • Identify loans for CRA and HMDA tracking.

  • Complete the entry of closed loan data into Core Banking System.

  • Complete adverse actions for denied and withdrawn loan applications.

  • Assist customer requests including but not limited to payments, transfers, wires, stop payments, history inquiries.

  • Partner with Business / Specialty Loan Ops department staff to create best practices and solutions for process and policy enhancements. Document issues, maintain supporting work papers and provide accurate reporting metrics.

Other Responsibilities:

Perform other related duties as required or assigned that are in the spirit of this job description and position as necessary for the Bank and the Department to function effectively.
