GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Serves as administrator of nursing services for Residential services. Serves as administrator / provider and supervisor of residential services for identified individuals under the general direction of the Director of Residential Services in coordinating or providing services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide overall nursing administration to licensed staff in the administration of medication or treatment to clients in residential services.
  2. Prepare assessments/evaluations, reports required for admissions, medication management, medical summaries, group services as needed, and completion of compliance documentation as appropriate.
  3. Prepare and submit medication management prior authorizations as needed or requested
  4. Provide on-call services for Residential nursing and/or medication management services
  5. Provide health and wellness assessments and training annually, or as indicated.
  6. Monitor quarterly reports and monitor client medication to ensure adherence as indicated. Will submit a report indicating any identified problems or training needs.
  7. Will assist in selection of additional nursing services as needed or requested.
  8. Will assist in maintaining compliance with established departmental and regulatory protocols.
  9. Will assure Director of Residential services and other staff remain updated with client medical information.
  10. Will provide and maintain documentation of current professional license to be on file at Pathfinder, Inc.
  11. Will work in a cooperative team spirit with all employees and consultant staff of the department ensuring compliance with established protocols and other state and federal regulations governing the programs.
  12. Will ensure all nursing/medical supplies are ordered and maintained as required.
  13. Will monitor medical charts to ensue orders are being followed and consultation notes are current.
  14. Will oversee and/or assist in the development and/or revision of nursing and health related policy and procedure manuals.
  15. Develops and presents medication monitoring training to direct support staff as needed.
  16. Provides and oversees medication monitoring training for all residential staff.
  17. Performs other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN), in good standing with State Board of Nursing and currently licensed by the State of Arkansas as established by Acts 432 of 1971, 613 of 1979, and 19 of 1981.
