Our Team:

The Quality Control Inspector IV – Team Lead performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of Company products. Inspects materials, parts and products at different stages of production. Records observations and makes recommendations for improving processes. In coordination with the Manager, Quality Control Laboratory, this position leads and directs the day to day work of a team of Quality Control support staff

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate the daily assessment, inspection and acceptance of incoming materials from Warehouse. This involves prioritization of incoming raw materials as per request from the various clients and coordination with management, Lab Coordinator(s) or their designee(s).

  • Collaborate and coordinate sampling of raw materials submitted for extension of expiration supporting Planning and Warehouse.

  • Coordinate and ensure adherence to the cleaning schedule in the QC Sample Booth to ensure compliance to environmental monitoring program requirements.

  • Ensure that QC Incoming Area has the necessary inventory of materials and tools to conduct tasks (e.g., submit purchase requisitions, etc.).

  • Support team supervision and including participation in annual performance appraisals of relevant QC support personnel.

  • Support supervision in the diverse administrative activities with QC Incoming personnel such as but not limited to: coordinate personnel time and vacation schedule; conflict issues; training; perform task following pertinent safety practices and use of personal protective equipment/garments; adherence to company and business practices.

  • Check Raw Material (RM) Certificate of Acceptance (COA) for conformance of physical parameters, according to the vendor supplier(s).

  • Perform in-process organoleptic testing for the entire RM.

  • Document all collected data promptly and correctly.

  • Sample quarantined raw materials in accordance with specifications. Obtain samples for analysis, outside testing and retainers, as indicated.

  • Prepare necessary documents and submit raw material samples to the designated department for analysis or further processing.

  • Apply release stickers as appropriate to release components.

  • Apply rejected stickers to materials as instructed. Ensure that rejected materials are transferred to the appropriate areas for further processing.

  • Prepare Reject Disposition document forms.

  • Create Raw Material specifications.

  • Complete Conditional Release Forms for RM requests.

 
Position Requirements

What you bring to the team:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education

  • Minimum of 6 years’ professional Quality Control experience

  • Working knowledge and understanding of Dietary Supplements GMP

  • Fluency in English, written and conversational

  • Basic mathematics proficiency

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Prior forklift operation experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Degree in chemistry, biology or related field

  • Prior nutraceutical industry experience
