For more information about DAWSON and our benefits programs, please visit www.dawson8a.com) DAWSON has a 6-month term opportunity for an Arabic Interpreter/Cultural Specialist, contingent upon contract award initially in the Washington D.C. area with implementation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and/or another mid-East Country. The duties include: • Provide simultaneous translations between Modern Standard Arabic, or Gulf Arabic, and English to facilitate conversations between U.S. team members and foreign counterparts. • Assist U.S. team members with language translation as needed to move around the region. • Translate technical documents and other written materials as needed from English to Modern Standard Arabic and from Modern Standard Arabic to English. • Provide advice and assistance to U.S. team members on cultural practices and traditions to support relationship building and cultural understanding   Position Requirements REQUIREMENTS: Federal experience required & must currently possess Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) score of 3/3 with an Oral Proficiency Interviews (OPI) of 3 (mandatory for consideration). Strong understanding of Middle Eastern and Islamic cultural practices, particularly those practiced and followed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (without sponsorship) Overseas travel will be required to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and/or other Middle East countries. Professional oral and written communication skills in both English and Modern Standard Arabic Ability to translate technical (IT) terminology Ability to work independently and on global teams. Preferred: Experience working in and around Saudi Arabia and the Gulf-Region.
