Responsible for accurately recording daily audit totals in a timely manner, thereby ensuring smooth and efficient operations in the Revenue Accounting Division of the Finance Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
Enters daily information into numerous Revenue Audit Report forms, spreadsheets and systems; generates back-up reports and documentation; records transactions and other information to update and maintain accounting records.
Researches and audits all revenue streams from all venues on a daily basis, including but not limited to Hotel. Table Games, Gift Shops, Food venues, and slot machines.
Prepares journal entries; tracks, audits, and reconciles coupons used on property; sorts and records complimentary receipts; debits or credits appropriate accounts.
Reconciles General Ledger Revenue accounts on a regular basis.
Assists with the monitoring al all financial activities on property, with respect to Revenue Accounting division of the Finance Department, to endure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations and controls of the company, the Mille Lacs Band, the Federal and State Tax Commissions, and the Gaming Commission are enforced throughout the Revenue Accounting Department.
Audits records for accuracy of transactions and reconciles or notes discrepancies. Informs management of all discrepancies.
Verifies balances and entries, calculations, and postings recorded by internal Associates.
Evaluates various situations, with respect to Revenue Audits, and determines how best to handle it.
Ensures a maximum level of companywide service and satisfaction, in the area of Revenue Accounting, is achieved and maintained.
Helps to facilitate the flow of information throughout the property, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
Displays a high level of maturity, discretion, tact, judgment and the ability to deal with confidential matters.
Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of records and reports.
Associates demonstrating proficiency on all the essential duties on a consistent basis will be eligible for the Pay for Performance Structure.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
One (1) year Accounting experience or post-secondary Accounting Diploma; or, one (1) year combined education/experience in Accounting.
If required, must be able to pass company pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test.
Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority, and follow all relevant DGR's.
Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
Must be able to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Must be able to apply common sense understanding to a variety of situations, in order to collect data, analyze facts, and determine appropriate response.
