DAWSON has a 6-month term opportunity for a part-time Information System Security Engineer (ISSE), contingent upon contract award initially in the Washington D.C. area with implementation in Saudi Arabia. The ISSE will be responsible for consulting on the cybersecurity posture of the Quick Fix System in development and implementation.ISSE duties include:

• Captures and refines information security requirements and ensures requirements are effectively integrated into the Quick Fix Solution through purposeful security architecting, design, development, and configuration.
• Provides security engineering and associated services in all phases of the system development to comply with existing and evolving requirements for information system security.
• Interfaces with all specialized sub-contractors to ensure shared knowledge of inherited security policies and procedures and future security-related efforts and plans of the Quick Fix system.
• Creates and documents security policies, processes, and procedures in conjunction with the Training Team.
• Designs, develops, implements, and integrates the Quick Fix architecture, systems, and system components for use within computer, network, and enclave environments.
• Ensures the security architecture and design of the Quick Fix System are functional and secure. This shall include architecture and designs for special purpose environments with platform network interconnectivity and those with differing data protection and classification requirements.

 
Position Requirements
REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher required from an accredited college or university in a technical related field
• 5+ years of Cybersecurity experience
• CISSP, GSLC, or equivalent certification
• Up to 30% overseas travel will be required to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Professional oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and on global teams.
PREFERRED:
• 1+ years working within an Agile development or test environment
• Knowledge of security test and evaluation procedures supporting DoD programs
• Experience with virtualized networks
• Experience with cybersecurity analytic tools
• Experience working in Saudi Arabia
• Experience with cybersecurity analytic tools such as IBM Qradar (SIEM and Resilient), VMware Vcenter, Carbon Black, Microsoft Enterprise Services, Blue Coat Proxy Management Center, Blue Coat Security Analytics Management Symantec End Point protection, Nexpose Rapid7, Enterprise Gigamon/GigaVUE, Viavi, and RedSeal Security Analytics
