DAWSON has an opportunity for a lead systems security test engineer in the Washington D.C. area with implementation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Prefer candidate to be based in the National Capital Region, however may need to open to CONUS-wide; with more travel. The lead systems security test engineer is the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the program’s system security and integration test activities. Interested individuals need to have seasoned cyber security and testing experience, excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. This cross-functional roll:

• Develops and documents standardized integrated test methods, procedures, and processes to ensure repeatability and productivity based upon Department of Defense and National Security Standards ensuring industry-best testing practices.
• Develops test schedules to include task lines, resource requirements, dependencies, time schedules and critical path
• Provides technical and team leadership to manage multiple test events.
• Performs and leverages systems engineers and architects in use case development, test planning, test execution, and deficiency resolution processes.
• Performs or orchestrates cybersecurity tests that ensures the implementation of system and security designs properly meet requirements and test objectives.
• Performs Change Management (CM) controls to ensure only validated system component versions/configurations are incorporated into the system baseline.
• Organizes and conducts appropriate regression testing against system baseline.
• Conducts and supports test operations control meetings such as test readiness reviews, integrated test team meetings, etc.
• Tracks and applies lessons learned to the improvement of test procedures.

 
Position Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
• DoD Secret or above preferred
• 1+ years working within an Agile development or test environment
• Knowledge of test and evaluation procedures supporting DoD programs
• Experience with developing and facilitating test readiness reviews, integrated test team meetings, and integrated product team sessions
• Experience with virtualized networks
• Experience with cybersecurity analytic tools such as Cisco and Forcepoint Next Generation Firewall (NGFW), Network Data Loss Protection Systems (DLPs), IBM QRadar (SIEM and Resilient), VMware vCenter, Carbon Black, Microsoft Enterprise Services, Blue Coat Proxy Management Center, Blue Coat Security Analytics Management Symantec End Point protection, Nexpose Rapid7, Enterprise Gigamon/GigaVUE, Viavi, and RedSeal Security Analytics

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher required from an accredited college or university in a technical related field, preferably in cyber security, computer science, engineering or information systems
• 2+ years systems security testing experience
• 3+ years testing methodologies and test phases, including unit/component black-box testing, systems integration testing, and regression testing experience
• 3+ years test planning, test reporting, deficiency tracking, designing test scripts, and developing test use cases experience
• 3+ years test development experience in a manual or automated environment
• 1+ year Change Management experience
• Experience supervising or leading teams or projects
• Up to 30% overseas travel will be required to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
• Professional oral and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and on global teams
