DAWSON has a 6-month term opportunity for cybersecurity technical trainers, contingent upon contract award initially in the Washington D.C. area with implementation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and/or another mid-East Country. Cybersecurity technical trainers are the Subject Matter Experts (SME) for the program’s training content development and delivery activities. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are a must. The Cybersecurity technical trainer:
• Delivers multiple overseas training events.
• Advises training lead on training priorities and adheres to milestones and other schedule requirements.
• Identifies, develops, and documents tailored systems training plan incorporating DAWSON training team developed and commercially available product-level systems and subsystems training.
• Identifies and develops product training content where there is insufficient commercial training available.
• Plans and schedules training classes and/or administers respective courseware to foreign military students on topics to include: Security Incident & Event Management, Endpoint Detect & Respond, Forward Web Proxy, Security Analytics, Malware Analysis, Incident Response & Orchestration, Data Center Traffic Fabric, Virtualization Infrastructure, and Network Modeling & Risk Management.
• Collaborates with systems engineers, architects, and test and evaluation Subject Matter Experts in collecting information and developing product training content.
• Authors select highly technical, detailed, and engaging custom product training using multiple delivery means.
• Creates and develops manuals, technical documentation, and other reference materials to train and assist operators in using select cybersecurity tools such as IBM Qradar (SIEM and Resilient), VMware Vcenter, Carbon Black, Microsoft Enterprise Services, Blue Coat Proxy Management Center, Blue Coat Security Analytics Management Symantec End Point protection, Nexpose Rapid7, Enterprise Gigamon/GigaVUE, Viavi, and RedSeal Security Analytics.
• Monitors student enrollment, attendance and prepares records of training activities and student progress.
• Develops training survey processes, gathers, tracks and monitors feedback for training program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Tracks and applies lessons learned to the improvement of training procedures.

 
Position Requirements

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher required from an accredited college or university in a technical related field, preferably in cyber security, computer science, engineering or information systems
• 2+ years developing, organizing, and maintaining technical instruction or cyber training materials experience
• Ability to develop and deliver operator-level training in a classroom environment
• Ability to provide operator-level job proficiency evaluations
• Experience supervising or leading teams or projects
• Up to 30% overseas travel will be required to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and/or another mid-East Country
• Professional oral and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and on global teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years working within an Agile development environment
• Knowledge of DoD training and personnel knowledge, skills, and abilities evaluation programs
• Technical training certification or equivalent experience
• Experience with virtualized networks
• Experience with cybersecurity analytic tools
• Experience with cybersecurity analytic tools such as IBM Qradar (SIEM and Resilient), VMware Vcenter, Carbon Black, Microsoft Enterprise Services, Blue Coat Proxy Management Center, Blue Coat Security Analytics Management Symantec End Point protection, Nexpose Rapid7, Enterprise Gigamon/GigaVUE, Viavi, and RedSeal Security Analytics
