AstraZeneca is pioneering innovative research and exploring novel pathways across key therapeutic areas, including respiratory, inflammation and autoimmunity; cardiovascular and metabolic disease; oncology; neuroscience; and infection and vaccines. We are currently seeking Graduate candidates who are working towards obtaining a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or a similar field for an internship during the summer of 2018. This summer internship opportunity is with the Pharmaceutical Sciences group. The objective of this internship is to develop controlled release formulations for small molecules and understand the impact of critical formulation parameters on product performance. Core Responsibilities: Design and optimize sustained release formulations Develop suitable in vitro dissolution test methods Characterize formulation including particle size, in vitro release profile etc.   Position Requirements Position Requirements: Skills in formulation development Dissolution testing Particle size analysis and HPLC are essential Modeling/stimulation experience is a plus Graduate level students Grade Point Average 3.0+   Full-Time/Part-Time Seasonal   Location Waltham, MA   This position is currently not accepting applications.
