Description

The Resort Engineer will be responsible for the overall upkeep and repair of the Edgewood Tahoe Resort. This position will primarily work an overnight shift. This responsibility will include proactively inspecting and repairing areas of the Grounds, Building Exterior, Public areas, Pool and Spa, Health Club, Fitness Center, Kitchens and Guest Rooms. The Resort Engineer will respond and resolve any guest issues with great communication and expert resolution skills. This position will exhibit excellence in cultivating the Edgewood Vision by executing both employee and guest engagement standards.

 
Position Requirements

This position requires above average skills in the following categories:

1. AIR CONDITIONING AND REFRIGERATION
2. ELECTRICAL
3. MECHANICAL (HVAC, Motors, Pumps)
4. PLUMBING
5. ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS & CONTROLS
6. CARPENTRY & FINISH SKILLS
7. KITCHEN EQUIPMENT
8. ENERGY CONSERVATION
9. GENERAL BUIL DING REPAIR
10. GUEST SERVICE SKILLS

• 5 years’ experience as an Engineer at a Hotel/resort preferred.
• Guest service background preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills needed.
• Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules (i.e., Lockout Tagout, JSAs), Safety Awareness information (such as SDS) operating and maintenance procedures. Ability to write routine logs and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to guest and other associates.
• Available to work varied shifts when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
