We are currently seeking candidates who are working towards obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related major for an internship during the summer of 2018. This internship opportunity is with the Formulation Sciences department. This intern will work in a formulation development laboratory focused on viruses. The intern will investigate the impact of buffer type on the stability of liquid formulations. Changes in viral structure will be determined using biophysical techniques. Core Responsibilities: The intern will work with a mentor to design and execute experiments in a formulation development laboratory. The intern will formulate the viruses(s) in different formulations. He/she will perform stability analyses on liquid samples, will interpret results, and present findings to the formulation group. The intern will also present the technical details and findings during a scientific poster and presentation. |
