Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. One (1) year of experience in a position that required exceptional customer relations skills.

  2. One (1) year cashier experience.

  3. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

  4. Ability to count back change accurately and efficiently.

  5. Effective communication skills- verbally able to provide instruction and respond to questions in English, and have exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities.

  6. Physically fit: able to stand and/or walk for long periods in a smoky environment; able to perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers; able to bend, and lift and maneuver 25lbs.

  7. Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.

  8. Must possess or obtain a Food Handlers Certification and an OLCC card within 30 days of employment.

  9. Requires a high security gaming license clearance.

  10. Must be at least 21 years of age.

 
Description

JOB SUMMARY

Officially greets and caters to the needs of buffet customers, graciously hosting, accepting payment and assisting buffet staff as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Ensure exemplary customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient and friendly service.

  2. Greets guests, escort them to tables and provide information regarding buffet.

  3. Checks out Imprest bank and operates cash register.

  4. Verify check-in and cash register reconciliation, and prepare shift end check-out and cash register reconciliation.

  5. Promptly accepts customer bill and payments, processing cash, credit card, coupons or comps.

  6. Maintain knowledge of current menu and/or specials, and Wildhorse events.

  7. Takes an active role in promoting guest service and advises F&B Managers of guest service issues.

  8. Assist with seating arrangements, including moving tables and chairs.

  9. Take names for waiting list, calls people over P.A. system when going down the list.

  10. Adheres to cash handling procedures established for Buffet Cashier/Host/Hostess staff

  11. Helps maintain a smooth flow in dining room between guests and servers.

  12. Assist as needed with table bussing, settings and side work.

  13. Handle guest questions/concerns promptly and professionally, deferring disputes/conflicts to Supervisor.

  14. Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, and safety codes, etc.

  15. Promotes a clean, safe and healthy work environment for employees and guests.Promptly reports all concerns to Supervisor.

  16. Ensure that operation of equipment, tools and materials are handled in a safe manner.

  17. Promote internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior.

  18. Other related duties as assigned.

 
Salary $11.00-$14.00 Hourly
