Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement will play a central role in establishing and managing an Alumni Association for the school and will plan and implement programs, events and projects, using best practice strategies for programmatic and relationship-based engagement of the alumni and parent community. The director also develops and executes a comprehensive strategy to create and grow a culture of engagement by identifying and recruiting volunteers, advocates and champions; by creating, executing and evaluating compelling events and programs; and by building, nurturing and strengthening relationships within the school community. This culture of engagement parallels, supports and comingles with a growing culture of philanthropy. Reports progress through strategic engagement metrics.

 
Position Requirements

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Five or more years of experience in a professional environment demonstrating strong program management, event planning, relationship-building, and engagement skills; experience in an educational institution preferred
  • Ability to develop, execute and evaluate a comprehensive plan of alumni programming
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Aptitude with new and emerging communication and networking technologies
  • Creative visioning and problem-solving skills
  • Aptitude with office software applications including database usage
