A Systems Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and security of the information systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. The incumbent ensures that the technology infrastructure enables staff members to effectively perform and support the services and business operations of SinfoníaRx, as well as support of the Information Technology Department and its varied operations. The Systems Administrator will maintain the availability and operability of the infrastructure through system development, risk identification, and technological innovation. A Systems Administrator works collaboratively with other IT staff, as well as other organizational members to install, maintain, and upgrade the Windows network infrastructure, systems, software and hardware supporting the end-users, clients, and employees of SinfoníaRx. The incumbent must demonstrate advanced level maintenance and troubleshooting skills of network systems and associated software and/or hardware; as well as network hardware and software application installation and repairs.

  • Provides effective and timely oversight, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for SinfoníaRx’s server and desktop environments, such as:
  • Performs server maintenance tasks, security audits, and completes system backups and recovery as scheduled.
  • Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge and advanced skills in working with enterprise computing and Windows server/networking standards, requirements, operations, and management.
  • Prepare and distributes scheduled and ad hoc informational and summary reports on performance indicators for the server and desktop environments.
Position Requirements

EDUCATION: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, or a closely related field from an accredited and approved vocational program, college, or university.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum three (3) years’ experience in a role supporting servers and active directory in a multi-server and multi-location environment, to include demonstrated experience with: Backup and disaster recovery systems, server hardware, software deployment, and server virtualization; Proficient skills with Windows services, Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP); or proficient demonstrated experience supporting Linux systems in an enterprise environment, to include building and maintaining application servers (LAMP stack).

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Currently possesses or able to obtain (within six (6) months) at least one (1) of the following certifications: CompTIA Server +, Comp TIA Linux +, Linux Foundation Certified Systems Administrator (LFCS), Red Hat Suse Linux or equivalent certified engineer, Serve + (COMP TIA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), MCSE: Server Infrastructure, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
