POSITION SUMMARY

Seeking an Instructional Designer to work with the Training Solutions team using the latest tools and design concepts to develop innovative eLearning and instructor-led training as needed. In this position, you will work as part of a team to develop high quality, innovative Training and Education (T&E) products for The Army Distributed Learning Program (TADLP). The team will design, develop, and deliver an extensive range of distributed learning T&E products to include Interactive Multimedia Instruction, Digital Learning Content Objects, Analysis Products, Gaming, 3D Modeling and Simulations, augmented and virtual reality. The work will be performed at our office located in downtown San Antonio, TX.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Lead projects by coordinating ISD production and working with PM to complete assignments
• Work with client to analyze and document the requirements for courses
• Create detailed instructional plans to specify course design
• Write behavioral and cognitive objectives
• Develop assessment strategies, including instructive feedback
• Work with SMEs to research and write content
• Create Instructor Guides, Student Guides, PowerPoint presentations, and other classroom instructional materials.
• Design Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 eLearning
• Create detailed storyboards for production
• Work with graphic designers to determine graphics and interactive templates as a part of courseware design
• Follow current design process and keeps all documentation up to date
• Facilitate onsite client meetings (Travel as necessary)

 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Instructional Design or related field.
  • 8 + years of Instructional Design and Development experience.
  • Must be able to effectively multi-task, establish priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be effective in time management and can meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Team oriented; demonstrates mature understanding of the importance of collaboration and building relationships.
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

(Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Ability to use MS Office Suite, Captivate, Articulate Storyline, or other design tools preferred)
