PURPOSE:Provides leadership to an interdisciplinary Care Team which addresses the comprehensive behavioral health needs, and coordinates the physical health needs, of individuals suffering from severe or chronic mental illness and/or those with co-occurring substance use disorders. Ensures high quality treatment for clients, within a recovery framework based on trauma informed care model, to improve functioning and health. Supports clinicians in the performance of their duties through oversight and participation in clinical coordination and problem solving within the Care Team, and with clients, other agency programs and community resources. Monitors and ensures compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory and contractual requirements. Provides regular review of clients, including their clinical records, to ensure appropriate service delivery, community linkages, and documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: KMHS internal CDPs, CDPTs, Peer Counselors and Interns.
Current Certificate as a Chemical Dependency Professional (CDP) in WA State required, must have documented competency in clinical supervision; a Bachelor’s Degree in a social services and allied fields; significant experience working with clients with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders; A Master’s Degree is preferred. Must meet and maintain the definition of a CDP Approved Supervisor as defined in WAC 246-811-049 and ability to provide supervision to CDPs and CDP trainees. Must have not committed, permitted, aided or abetted the commission of an illegal act or unprofessional conduct as defined under RCW 18.130.180.
