Are you interested in working on challenging projects for an industry leader? This Mechanical Engineering position is available in either Denver, Colorado or Phoenix, Arizona.

Job Summary

  • Designs mechanical systems for commercial and institutional buildings
  • Performs required design calculations
  • Performs engineering tasks proficiently by using word processing and spreadsheet software, and computer assisted engineering and design software
  • Exhibits effective application of local and national building codes, strong working knowledge of all applicable safety codes and industry standards and solid knowledge of the International Building Codes, including building, mechanical, plumbing, fire, and fuel gas codes
  • Makes presentations to clients, and/or in front of groups
  • Proposes innovative solutions and strategizes with team to resolve concerns and conflicts
  • Stays current with industry trends by participating in seminars and training events and shares knowledge with team
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and design experience in at least one of the categories listed below, along with a good working knowledge of one additional category:
    • HVAC systems
    • Central HVAC plant systems
    • Plumbing and sprinkler fire protection systems
    • Fire suppression systems such as AFFF, dry chemical, and Halon 1301
    • Mechanical design including computation of building heating and cooling loads

Travel Requirements Occasional travel required.  
Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from a four-year college or university
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in engineering design for commercial and institutional facilities
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
