AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals – Supply Chain PET (Summer 2018)

Location: Newark, DE

Summary of Primary Responsibilities:

The Supply Planning Process Execution Team (SP PET) is accountable for developing and maintaining the 0 – 36 month supply plan for the site assets as part of the global end to end supply chain. This requires close collaboration with global planning and site process execution teams to ensure site capabilities are accurately understood, supply plans are well developed and able to be executed, and future targets are meaningful and achievable.

The SP PET is also accountable for:

{C}· incoming direct materials planning and supplier management

{C}· all activities around import/export of materials and relationship management with the associated supply/customer production sites

{C}· all materials/production data management

{C}· implementation and control of all new/changed packing materials graphics and associated documentation.

Major Responsibilities:

Work with the different Supply PET areas in delivering projects and continuous improvement efforts:

  • Take an active participation on the Supply PET strategy.
  • Standardization on the visibility process across the Supply PET, as well as the identification of opportunities within the internal communication using problem solving methodology.
  • Creating and upgrading current reports used by the team and with other areas.
  • Process governance evaluation and documentation.

Support the visibility process for the Supply PET, including creating and upgrading current reports and visibility tools used by the team.

What are the primary duties of this position?

Review available resources for team visibility, propose new reports or new communication tools, upgrade current visibility tools.

What technical skills are required?

Excel, SAP (if possible)

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Working towards a degree in engineering or a related scientific discipline
  • Grade Point Average of 2.8 or higher
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc)
  • Communication skills
  • Supply Chain education or experience is a plus
