The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic sale and marketing plan for the property. This position oversees and manages transient/leisure sales and group sales to ensure the maximum revenue potential is achieved. This position plays key role planning and managing overall sales and marketing efforts of the resort to achieve optimal occupancy and ADR. The Director of Sales and Marketing will work closely with the Revenue Manager, General Manager and Preferred Hotel Group to develop strategies to maximize revenue potential and grow market share. This position will exhibit excellence in cultivating the Edgewood Vision by executing both employee and guest engagement standards.

Position Requirements
  • BA degree in Marketing or related field (journalism, public relations, advertising, or business).

  • Minimum five years related experience in marketing which encompassed all facets of sales and marketing program development and implementation; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A successful record in achieving revenue targets is also required. Direct ski, golf, or facilities resort sales or marketing experience is desirable.

  • “Luxury” hotel experience a plus.

  • Ability to use computer hardware, software, and electronic systems currently in use or similar to those used on the job.

  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, persuasive, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference for development of marketing programs and promotions, rate structures, yield management, and sales projections. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions within delegated authorities and time pressures.

  • Demonstrated planning, presentation and organizational skills.
