Under the direction of the Director or Marketing, responsible to assist in the planning, and support of casino mail projects and social media to achieve objectives regarding revenue, profitability and identify opportunity to increase effectiveness.

  • Assists in the strategic development of database events with focus on maximizing profits based on the goals established in the annual marketing plan.

  • Assist in the deliverables of database mail projects including:creation of codes, kiosk setup, proofing all direct mail and promotional materials, preparing purchase requisitions and upload to the Player Tracking System all offers.

  • Assist developing database promotion rules, procedures and internal communications.

  • Assist with special projects as assigned by the Director of Marketing.

  • Ensure that a strong communication system is maintained with all Associates by the timely distribution of mailing, promotion and procedural notices.

  • Work with available information systems in the gathering of the database mail lists and promotion participation files.

  • Responsible for verifying accuracy of the criteria on mail lists.

  • Develop and maintain Player Tracking System for all database promotion coupons and offers.

  • Provide database activity status reports on current database promotions and offers.

  • Maintain accuracy and consistency in the database promotion mail pieces.

  • Prepare purchase requests for all database print fulfillment, postage costs and promotional related expense items on a timely basis.

  • Maintain cost summaries for all mail pieces and database promotional projects.

  • Coordinate the gathering and interpreting of promotional analysis to create report documents for database promotions.

  • Maintain cooperative and informed relationships with vendors.

  • Coordinate transactional reports to verify and balance vendor accounts.

  • Research information to support database proposal development.

  • Schedule and produce various reports according to current project list and upon request.

  • Organize and deploy promotional emails regarding hotel offers and promotional offers as developed.

  • Schedule mail jobs and maintain communication with Sweet Grass Media and other print partners.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • One (1) year experience using Microsoft Access and Excel.

  • One (1) year experience in creating status/transactional reports.

  • Knowledge of Casino Player Tracking system(s) preferred.


  • Bachelor of Science degree and/or;

  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience in database marketing, events or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.


  • Must possess strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Access).

  • Knowledge of database marketing principles and systems; analytical, financial and operational reporting.

  • Ability to perform well under changing conditions and tight timelines.

  • Must be numbers and detail oriented.

  • Must have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects ensuring completion of projects in a timely manner.

  • Creative problem solving.

  • Self-starter with excellent follow through.

  • Knowledge of the direct mail process.

  • Knowledge of database operating system – Casino required.

  • Must be able to work varied hours and weekends, as needed

  • Must be able to pass company pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test.

  • Must be able to secure license from the Gaming Regulatory Authority.

  • Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian Preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

  • Responsible for following all relevant DGR’s.


  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate in one-on-one, small group situations, and to moderate-sized gatherings of associates, executives and/or community leaders.

  • Must be able to read and interpret the most complex of terminology including financial reports, wage survey, contracts, leases, and legal documents.


  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference.

  • Must have the ability to write routing reports and correspondence.


  • Must be able to apply common sense understanding to a variety of situations, in order to collect data, analyze facts, and determine appropriate response.


    While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to:

  • Talk and hear;

  • See and adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision;

  • Must be able to view full color spectrum.

  • Stand, walk, run, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl;

  • Handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands.

  • Lift and/or move objects weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds.


    While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to:

  • A low-to-moderate noise level (offices).

  • A moderate-to-loud noise level (public areas).

  • Second-hand cigarette/cigar smoke.
