Our Team:

The ITSS Support Specialist provides first level of support for all end-user computing issues and needs in pursuit of operational excellence. The ITSS Support Specialist is instrumental in our continued efforts in providing our users exceptional IT support services. A key player in investigating and resolving computer and telecommunication software and hardware problems for users and support any day-to-day operational concerns. Provides workstation, server administration, support, maintenance and documentation for multiple sites and remote users. Researches and recommends changes to improve the user experience companywide. Will act as a user advocate and will be a key member in introducing change that will benefit our user community companywide. Will provide support to local, remote users and sites.

  • Providing training to user's community in existing and new technology such as basic network tasks, Microsoft Windows basics, Microsoft Office applications, Internet best practices, etc.

  • Support user and site hardware, including but not limited to, installing, maintaining, and coordinating repairs to desktops, laptops, printers and network switches; maintain hardware inventory
  • Support user software, including but not limited to, assisting in distribution of new and/or upgraded applications and assisting in building software distribution/removal packages using our workstation management application.

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and escalate persistent problems for system-wide troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with all stated ITSS policies and SOPs
  • Act as primary point of contact for end-user support issues.
  • Support client IT activities including, but not limited to, changing passwords, printer setup and moving/organizing user equipment.
  • Support new user setups and IT onboarding. Including, but not limited to, user training, system setups and relocation.
  • Assist in troubleshooting network performance issues and assist in ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Assists in managing local vendor relationships.
  • Plays active role in maintaining disaster recovery plan and activities.
  • Provide L1 & L2 support IT related Incidents and Requests.
  • Researches and recommends changes to improve security, reliability and performance for end users.
  • Provide support for local and remote users.
  • Assists in the development of IT related policies and procedures
  • Responsible for training remote and local users on existing and new IT initiatives
  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues research questions using available information resources.
  • Advice users on appropriate action, follow standard help desk procedures, log all user Requests, Incidents and Helpdesk interaction within our ITSS ticketing system.
  • Redirect problems to appropriate resource identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention and document resolutions.
  • Provide project management support for IT related projects working with personnel across the US.
  • Identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare activity reports stay current with system information, changes and updates.
  • Assist in office/cubicle relocations and in other area as directed.
  • Any additional duties that may be assigned that relates to the support of our user community.
  • Ability to lift up-to 40lbs.

 
Position Requirements

What you bring to the team:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Two (2) year degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • Three (3) years providing excellent user support in a Windows environment
  • One (1) year network fundamental experience mainly in Windows environment
  • Fundamental experience with network equipment (switches/routers etc.) in a LAN/WAN infrastructure including IP, VPLS, VPN and VoIP usage.
  • Experience in server environment including Windows 2008/2012, Office 365 and VMware.
  • Knowledge of MS Office/Outlook 2013/2016, Windows 7/10 Pro, ServiceNOW, Kaseya, Active Directory user administration, network connectivity, printer and drive mapping.

  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.

  • Have the need to fully understand a problem and seek a long term solution

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience with Mac computers
  • Microsoft MCSA, A+ certification
  • Knowledge of IT Best Practices (ITIL Foundation)
