Description

Summary:

The CDID Mission Command (MC) Assessment Analyst develops the required products necessary to support CDID's MC publication of appropriate JCIDS products; supports the integration of the MC with other Army Functional Concepts; supports or participates in Campaign of Learning meetings and/or events; prepares technical input for Mission Command doctrine and related concepts; and prepares information and decision briefings.

Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide military subject matter expertise to assigned programs

  • Engage appropriate TRADOC, Army, Joint and Multinational and other associated Mission Command communities of practice and interest as well as subject matter experts to collaborate on Campaign of Learning efforts

  • Provide technical input for selected Army and Joint Mission Command Concepts and doctrine by reviewing designated Army and Joint publications

  • Provide Mission Command technical expertise (understand both the US Army's philosophy of command that engenders decentralized operations and the overarching function that integrates maneuver, intelligence, fires, sustainment, and protection warfighting functions to accomplish a mission) at Army and Joint experiments, exercises, and simulations (EES)

  • Prepare MC Assessments in accordance with formats outlined in the latest guidance CJCSI 3170.01G (Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System), TR 71-20 (Concept Development, Experimentation, and Requirements Determination), and guidance from MC COE CDID

  • Support the assessment and analysis of Required Capabilities (RC), gaps and solutions to the gaps

  • Develop, document, archive, and maintain an up to date electronic database of all documents (including contact information and CRMs) associated with the MC assessment and Learning Demands and supporting JCIDS documents

  • Plan, prepare, and execute MC related workshops, as approved IAW current Army Conference policies, to review MC issues with the community representatives and provide Microsoft Office compatible products for presentation

  • Prepare information and decision papers, emails and briefings on the MC related efforts. Support CDID's strategic communication efforts to educate and inform the MC community

  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas

  • Participate in special projects as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Education - Master's Degree

  • Graduate of a military service school equivalent to Command and General Staff College, Warrant officer Senior Service Education or Senior Leader Course (Sergeant Majors Academy preferred)

  • Experience at the Division, Corps, and/or Army Service Component Command (ASCC) Headquarters staff level

  • 20 years of experience with Branch qualification in military planning, training, logistics, intelligence, force design, development, and combat development

  • Experience as a capability developer within the MC Warfighting Function (WfF)

  • Strong background in U.S. Army concepts/doctrine/operations/organizations/training and the Army War-fighting Functions

  • Proficiency and demonstrated ability with Microsoft office products and use of the NIPRNet and SIPRNet

  • Current US passport
